Hello everyone - after almost an entire year. Sorry about the disappearance - but I had a good reason.
I was writing a book.
Also, I moved from the country I have been all my life(India) to Portugal(Lisbon, to be specific). But the book is the more interesting reason.
The book is about Personal Knowledge Management(PKM). The last three articles in MindOS was about PKM - they were converted to chapters in the book.
Not sure what PKM is? Here is my explanation from the first chapter of the book...
Personal knowledge management (or PKM) is a systematic way to manage and process the information we encounter, because it has the potential to transform us from a consumer of information to someone who uses information effectively.
If knowledge is power, knowledge management is harnessing that power to get things done.
This book doesn't just explain the principles of PKM, but also gives step-by-step instructions to get you started, and most importantly: It introduces the concept of the Graph Journal, which helps you map out both your knowledge and the significant elements in your life.
It helps you gain more insight, create better ideas, and a much deeper understanding of your life, your goals and how to get there, and how everything connects together.
The book is completed - at least the writing part is. Its still going though an editing cycle. I hope it will be out by the end of October.
